Boeing On The Brink Of Disaster šŸšØ

A few weeks back, I told you I was fired up about this yearā€™s Boeing incidents
<[link removed]>
and the total lack of accountability weā€™re seeing. Iā€™m still fighting tooth
and nail to get to the bottom of it, so I wanted to give you a quick update.

Earlier this week, we had a closed-door meeting on the Transportation
Committeeā€”why it had to be closed-door, Iā€™m still not sure. But either way,
these knuckleheads are telling us that itā€™s all about basic economics. They say
itā€™s cheaper and easier to have parts made overseas, so dadgummit, thatā€™s what
theyā€™re doing.

Everybody talks big about ā€œMade in America,ā€ but when push comes to shove, the
big boys donā€™t care. For them, itā€™s all about the bottom line. But these arenā€™t
everyday products where quality is the only concernā€”this is a matter oflife and
death
<[link removed]>
.

We canā€™t have Boeing putting profits over safety, folks. As someone who flies
at least twice a week, this whole thing scares the living daylights out of me,
and I know countless other Americans agree.

So, what can we do? How can both parties come together on some economic
policies that will help Boeing makes its stuff right here in the USA? Thatā€™s
exactly what weā€™re trying to hash out in these meetings, and while itā€™s only
the beginning, we better work quickly.

Whistleblowers keep coming forwardā€”and their claims

are damning. One said his bosses would pressure him to keep safety reports to
a minimum because they didnā€™t havetime to fix mistakes. This brave man said,
and I quote, ā€œEverything I was seeing was like a ticking time bomb.ā€

If that doesnā€™t send chills down your spine, I donā€™t know what will.

But hereā€™s my promise to you: Iā€™ll keep speaking out and digging for answers.
I refuse to sit back while a corporation like Boeingdodges responsibility

.

This thing isnā€™t going to blow over; Iā€™m ready to see it through to the very
end until we know Americans can feel safe flying the friendly skies.

Remembering D-Day šŸŖ–

This week marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, a pivotal moment
that turned the tide in World War II.

As I've shared before, my Uncle Roy bravely served during that time and died
in Normandy just two weeks after D-Day. He sacrificed his life for the freedoms
we cherish in Americaā€”and I think about it every time I look up at the flag
that draped his casket, which is hanging in my office.

When I left the Capitol building yesterday, I saw protesters exercising their
constitutional rights. It was an important reminder of how people in other
countries can only dream of such freedomsā€”freedom of expression, freedom of
religion, the right to bear arms, and so much more.

We are privileged to live in the greatest country in the world, and we owe it
all to those who fought and died for it. They made the ultimate sacrifice, and
the best way to honor their memory is to preserve the freedoms for which they
gave their lives.
