April 15, 2020: In terms of the pandemic, 60% of voters believe the worst is yet to come. A Scott
Rasmussen national survey found that just 16% believe the worst is behind us and 24% are not sure.[1]
The survey was completed just two days before New York Governor Andrew Cuomo publicly declared that the “worst is over.”[2]
As on just about everything these days, there is a significant partisan divide. Seventy-two percent (72%) of Democrats believe the worst is yet to come, a view shared by just 49% of Republicans. Independent voters are in the middle with 58%
believing the worst days remain ahead of us.[1]
