Dear John,
No matter where we live, we depend on the ocean for the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the vital role it plays in climate control for our planet. This powerful ecosystem, covering more than 70% of the Earth's surface, urgently needs our help.
Vulnerable ocean life and habitats are under threat from illegal fishing, climate change, and over-exploitation. WildAid protects marine ecosystems and ocean life worldwide every day. We invite you to join us and take action in celebration of World Oceans Day tomorrow:
1. Donate to WildAid ([link removed]) by midnight on Saturday, June 8th, and your contribution will be TRIPLED in value by a special matching gift.
2. Learn more about WildAid’s unique and internationally recognized approach to wildlife conservation on land and at sea. Check out the recording of yesterday’s livestream, WildAid Live—World Oceans Day ([link removed]) . You'll hear from our team members as they share stories from WildAid’s dynamic media campaigns and award-winning marine protection program. Prepare to be inspired!
3. Join the conversation. Our followers on social have been sharing the ways they’re taking action to protect marine life in honor of World Oceans Day. We want to hear from you too! Share what actions you’re taking, whether it’s participating in a beach cleanup or conserving water. You might just inspire others to do the same. Be sure to tag @WildAid on Instagram ([link removed]) , Facebook ([link removed]) , X ([link removed]) , or LinkedIn ([link removed] ) , and we'll help you spread the word.
4. Commit to reducing your use of single-use plastics, like water bottles and plastic shopping bags, which harm or kill thousands of marine animals every year. Start small—try going plastic-free for a day, then a week, or even a month! Over time, bringing along a reusable bag, bottle, or cutlery will become second nature. Share your efforts with us on social media by tagging @WildAid so we can cheer you on.
WildAid has shown that we can turn the tide for vulnerable ocean life and habitat. Join us ([link removed] ) —it's wild what we can do together!
Yours for the wild,
Meaghan Brosnan
Chief Executive Officer
