Happy Earth Month! We hope you are doing well and taking care of yourself. If you would like to use this time to further your climate activism, there are National and Chapter Events that we'd love to see you at. Everything is virtual!
Twice a month, CCL National offers a Climate Advocate Training. It is a one hour boot camp of Everything CCL. The next time this is happening is on Wednesday April 15 at 8pm. You can RSVP here: https://citizensclimatelobby.org/climate-advocate-training/
We are encouraging all DC volunteers to take this training. It's an in depth introduction for new volunteers and a useful refresher for veterans who haven't watched it since they first joined.
Directly following the Climate Advocate Training (CAT), we will reconvene as a chapter in a new Zoom room at 9pm. This event will be an open ended session where experienced DC chapter veterans can answer general and specific questions following the CAT for new and intermediate members.
This is a great way to get to know your local chapter and get involved! RSVP below
Join the DC chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby to write letters to the media for Earth Day. We are taking the media narrative around climate into our own hands.
In this "Writers Workshop" you can write letters to the editor, get trained on how to write letters to the editor, write content that inspires action on climate change, and submit it using CCL's media tool.
