[[link removed]] Friend,
As Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, I’m going to outline exactly how we plan to elect more Democrats in Iowa and why your support is critical to our success.
Before I get into it, I have to ask if you’ll make a donation to the Iowa Democratic Party today.
Chip in today! [[link removed]]
Step One: Hold Republicans Accountable
Friend, the GOP’s agenda is wildly unpopular. From gutting public education to attacking reproductive freedom to rejecting money to feed hungry kids, Republicans have proven they are out of step with Iowa families.
On the other hand, Iowa Democrats are working to lower the cost of higher education, raise wages, improve access to affordable healthcare, lower the cost of prescription drugs, defend our fundamental rights, and so much more!
It’s clear: Democrats’ priorities are Iowans’ priorities. That’s why we need to make sure every Iowa voter knows where their elected officials stand.
Your contributions allow us to get our message out across Iowa and call out Republicans for their harmful policies.
Step Two: Empower County Parties
With Donald Trump on the ballot and the spread of right-wing media, people are becoming more divided. If Democrats are going to start winning, we need to talk to our neighbors and establish a presence in every corner of the state.
Our county parties are crucial to building relationships in our communities, supporting local candidates, and getting Democrats out to the polls. That’s why we’re working to strengthen communication between grassroots activists and the state party.
Your contributions allow us to provide Iowa’s county parties with the tools, training, and guidance they need to connect with voters and be successful in November.
Step Three: Improve Democratic Turnout
There are 121,091 registered Iowa Democrats or Dem-leaning voters who voted in 2020, but did not vote in 2022. In 2022, some statewide Democratic candidates lost their races by just 20,000 votes.
There are 25,758 registered Iowa Democrats or Dem-leaning voters who have registered to vote since the 2020 election. If every Iowan under the age of 35 voted, Democrats would easily win every statewide and Congressional race.
In order to win, we’ve got to show up. That’s why we’re working hard to turn out new and inconsistent Democratic voters – the voters we’ll need to win races up and down the ballot.
Your contribution allows us to register new voters, train volunteers, and make sure Democrats know how, when and where to vote.
Step Four: Build Up Fundraising Infrastructure
Republicans are counting on big checks from special interest groups and out-of-state politicians like Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley to power their campaigns. Iowa Democrats are counting on people like you.
If we want to beat Republicans at the ballot box, we need a grassroots force that can match them dollar-for-dollar. I’m proud to share that, so far, the Iowa Democratic Party has outraised the Iowa Republican Party for the 2024 election cycle!
Your contribution will help us reach new grassroots donors, host events in every corner of the state, and build on our momentum.
Friend, my team and I are giving these efforts 110%. Now that you know how we plan to win (and why your support is so important), I’m hoping you’ll join us by chipping in $50, $25, $5 or whatever you can today.
