John,
As we observe another Gun Violence Awareness Month, I’ve been taking some time to remember those we’ve tragically lost to gun violence.
I get asked about my tattoos a lot — on my right arm I have nine different dates. These are the dates when people were killed while I served as mayor of Braddock, starting in 2005. Seven out of nine were gun deaths.
In a close-knit community like Braddock, it’s very likely that you know the victim and their family. It’s an incredibly wrenching and personal experience as a mayor — but nothing compared to what the families have to go through.
That’s why I’m committed to doing everything I can to prevent more gun violence in the future. We have the power to stop it — we just have to summon the will to get it done.
John, if you’re with me in this fight, will you make a $5 donation to my campaign today? As someone with a proud “F” rating from the NRA, I need your help to take them on.

Thanks,
❤️ John
