The Policy Ramifications of TDS

Much has been made in the last week of how “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS) has infected legal circles like a zombie virus, turning something benign into a raving monster.  But when it comes to policy, it has created equally as much warpage.  There are many policies stances that have appeared out of nowhere simply because they are the opposite of issues Trump picked up and championed.  No place is that more evident than in the area of immigration.

Morality and Character

Typically, good character and morality have been deeply associated, but recent times may cause us to rethink that.  Specifically, the Trump NYC trial raises the issue.  We have battling sinners.  Trump who has at times past worn his immorality on his sleeve and Judge Marchan who has violated judicial ethics.  We need to be able to make some judgement about them both.  We need to decide who is the worse actor.
