The Nottingham Motor Show, sponsored by Nottingham College, will include hundreds of classic vehicles from the early 20th century to the 1990s. You can also see the very latest models that car dealerships have to offer, including EVs.
It's the biggest show of its kind in the East Midlands, with a wide range of food and exhibitor stalls, family entertainment, a funfair for the kids, and an entertainment stage featuring Carlton Male Voice Choir and live music from Cool Jazz.Â
Admission is free, event car parking charges apply.
Rothesay Open Nottingham

The 2024 Rothesay Open Nottingham begins tomorrow at Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre. Don’t miss your chance to see the world’s biggest tennis stars in action during the summer grass court season.
Current British No.1 and winner of the 2023 tournament, Katie Boulter, will be returning to defend her title. She'll be joined by Emma Raducanu, who is set to return to Nottingham for the first time since 2022. On the men's side, two-time Rothesay Open Nottingham titleholder Dan Evans will be looking to complete his hat-trick.
Budding young tennis enthusiasts and their families are invited to a free tennis celebration event at Clifton Playing Fields this Sunday 9 June from 10am-12pm.
The event celebrates the opening of the newly resurfaced courts and the launch of Barclays Free Park Tennis which takes place every Sunday morning. All equipment will be provided, along with inflatable tennis games plus a few surprises.Â
All ages and abilities are welcome - places are free and must be booked in advance.
Nottingham Poetry Festival

Performances, slam nights, talks, and workshops will be hosted across the city’s pubs, bookshops, libraries, theatres, and community venues for the Nottingham Poetry Festival.
The annual celebration of words features some of the UK’s leading poets - Linton Kwesi Johnson, Hollie McNish, Michael Pedersen, Luke Wright, Anthony Joseph, and Henry Normal - along with a huge array of homegrown talent, including open mics, panels, exhibitions, and free poetry books from the city’s independent publishers.
Drumhead Service for D-Day 80th Anniversary

Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council present a sunset service at the Victoria Embankment War Memorial to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
This will be an open-air Drumhead Service officiated by the Padres of Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force, the Rev Paul Massey and the Rev Mark Orr, including a parade of County Veterans and Standards, the Act of Remembrance and closing with the sunset ceremony, with the band of the South Nottinghamshire Hussars Association providing the music. The service will be informal and open to all.
Scouting for Girls at The Weekend Festival

After a fantastic performance at the Sausage & Cider Festival last weekend, Scouting for Girls will be back in Nottingham at The Weekend Festival this September!
The line-up also includes Toploader and Boyzlife plus more than 50 other music acts. Throughout the weekend you can enjoy half-pipe BMX and skateboard display teams, as well as wrestling, comedy, circus, and magic shows, and a food market with tasty treats from around the world.
Kaleidoscopic Realms

A brand new exhibition opens at Nottingham Castle this weekend. Kaleidoscopic Realms presents artwork and film by eight contemporary artists, revealing unfettered explorations of repetition, pattern, detail, and culture. The exhibition will run alongside a programme of workshops, talks, and live events.
The public launch takes place tomorrow from 5pm-7pm and all are welcome to attend by booking a free place.

Nottingham Craft Beer Festival

The sixth Nottingham Craft Beer Festival will showcase the finest craft beer produced locally, nationally, and beyond.
Over 40 breweries will be in attendance, including DEYA Brewing Company, Buxton Brewery, Bang The Elephant, Black Iris, Castle Rock, and Neon Raptor. Street food will be on offer from a range of food trucks, curated by the site residents Bustler, plus you can enjoy live music and DJs.
Girls Aloud

It's been more than 21 years since Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine, Nicola and Sarah were voted the winners of Popstars: The Rivals and formed the all-conquering legendary pop band Girls Aloud. To celebrate this milestone with all of their fans, Girls Aloud are taking on a huge arena tour of the UK and Ireland.
The hugely anticipated shows will feature all of the band's historic pop hits including No.1 songs Sound Of The Underground, The Promise and I'll Stand By You, alongside cast-iron classics such as Love Machine, Call The Shots, Biology, Something New and The Show.
