John, we’ve got a riddle for you. Take a look at all these book titles:

“The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison

“milk and honey” by Rupi Kaur

“The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood

“The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini

“To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee

Do you know what they all have in common?

They’ve all been BANNED by far-right extremists on school boards nationwide, ultimately restricting what our students can read and learn in schools.

With more books like these being banned in schools across the country, we’re conducting an urgent poll to see who’s willing to take a stand against these ridiculous efforts by the far-right to meddle with our education system.

We need 82 more responses before this flash poll closes at midnight tonight – including yours, John. So please, tell us: Do you read banned books?

DO YOU READ BANNED BOOKS?

If you’ve read or even heard of just one of the titles mentioned above, then you know just how crucial the books are to have in our libraries and public schools. We cannot allow Republican school board members and lawmakers to continue cutting off students from the truth.

Run for Something is fighting tooth and nail against extremist groups like Moms for Liberty who are working to elect far-right school board members and ban even more books. With our 50 State School Board Strategy, we’re recruiting and electing young progressives that will put a stop to these book bans once and for all.

But we want to make sure that this issue is something you’re willing to fight for too, John. Your response before our midnight deadline is critical to informing our 50 State School Board Strategy. So we’re asking:

DO YOU READ BANNED BOOKS?

Thank you,
