While this verdict is an important step toward overdue accountability, this man is unfit to serve in public office and the threat he poses to our nation and our democracy cannot be overstated.

For decades, he has been defrauding people, exacting harm, and evading legal accountability. From discriminating against Black tenants to defrauding small businesses, to bribery, hush money schemes, election interference, and insurrection, this man has broken the law to advance his own interests at the expense of other people and to the detriment of our democracy. And still Republicans will fall in line and prop him up to be their next nominee.
In Project 2025, Republicans have made it abundantly clear exactly how they plan to dismantle our democracy. Their far-right “manifesto” calls for expanding and expediting use of the federal death penalty, eliminating the Department of Education, national book bans in schools, and banning the federal government’s use of words such as “diversity,” “gender,” “reproductive health,” and “abortion,” just to name a few things.
While they make plans to take away our rights, I’m focusing on initiatives that will do exactly the opposite – center the people. That includes:
