Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms
in on a music studio in 1976. An up-and-coming rock band recording a
new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom, and the
ensuing pressures could spark their breakup-or their
breakthrough. Featuring performances by Tony nominees Will Brill
(Oklahoma!), Juliana Canfield (Succession), Eli Gelb (The Newsroom),
Tom Pecinka (American Rust) and Sarah Pidgeon (The Wilds), with a book
by David Adjmi (Marie Antoinette), an original score by Will Butler
(Arcade Fire) and direction by Daniel Aukin (Fool for Love),
Stereophonic is nominated for 13 Tony Awards.
