You know what the definition of insanity is? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
But that’s exactly what Republicans are doing again this month by pushing forward draconian spending bills that would slash funding to our environmental agencies and gut the clean energy investments our SEEC Members made in the Inflation Reduction Act.
Apparently they learned nothing from last year’s spending debacles where they waited until the last minute to pass something with Democratic votes and achieved nothing, but now they’re trying it again. It’s the definition of insanity!
John, instead of learning from their mistakes and working in a bipartisan way to support our environment and help the American people, the Republican majority in Congress is determined to put us through hell again.
And for what? Nothing is ultimately getting done and the climate crisis is raging on. We have to take back Congress so we can get our government back to work.
