With the end of the fiscal year quickly approaching, June is a month full of planning for all of us at the Innocence Project.

As we work to finalize our goals for the year ahead, we’re going through the numbers. We need 1,000 donors by June 30 to make sure we start the new fiscal year on the right foot. Here’s what we currently have on file for you:

Our work is all about freeing innocent people from the injustices of wrongful conviction and incarceration — but it doesn’t end there. 

Our social work team stays in regular contact with exonerees to make sure they have the essentials they need to thrive in life after wrongful incarceration. The folks on our intake team manage hundreds of letters a week from people seeking justice for themselves or a loved one. And every single day, our policy team fights tirelessly to pass legislation across the country that will make our criminal legal system more just and equitable for everyone.

So when you donate to the Innocence Project, know that your donation will help with all facets of our work — from freeing an innocent person to helping a recent exoneree access critical medical and mental healthcare.
