I’ll be blunt, John: our democracy is facing unprecedented attacks.

Election misinformation campaigns swept the nation after the 2020 presidential election. The MAGA machine convinced many Americans that our technology is rigged and that election workers and auditors are trying to change the results.

Even now – years later without a shred of evidence to support these conspiracy theories – we are still facing threats to election workers and doubts in our system.

As Washington Secretary of State, I’ve fought to expand voter access and against the Big Lie. The WA GOP on the other hand wants to make it harder to vote and literally voted for less democracy at their state convention in April.
