<[link removed]>Friend,
Just a few weeks ago, President Biden issued a statement <[link removed]> “Marking International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia" where he said the following.
“Like all human beings, LGBTQI+ people deserve equality – equal rights, equal citizenship, equal dignity. It is our shared moral responsibility to fight back against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, just as we must fight back against all hate-fueled violence, at home and abroad.”
Equal rights.
Equal citizenship.
Equal dignity.
At home and abroad.
That sounds beautiful. It sounds like what you want the President to say and believe.
However, when it comes to protecting human rights here at home and abroad we can’t just listen to what the current president says, we have to watch what he does.
<[link removed]>This Bloomberg headline <[link removed]> from March shows us what Biden believes.
He believes that representation for some Americans is transactional. While banning the pride flag at US embassies may seem harmless to some. This policy decision is a reflection of a greater threat facing our nation.
That threat comes from Joe Biden and his long career of using American minorities of all backgrounds for his political gain.
The question is what did Joe Biden get in exchange for signing into law a Republican policy seeking to erase 2SLGBTQIA+ Americans?
A 1.2 trillion dollar Republican endorsed budget deal <[link removed]>, 886 billion of which went to the Department of Defense.
Now more than ever we need a president in the White House that will defend 2SLGBTQIA+ rights - not erase them.
If you agree, will you help us power this movement for people, planet, and peace over profits by making a contribution today?
<[link removed]>DONATE <[link removed]>Thank you for helping put a pro-worker, anti-genocide, climate action agenda front and center in this election and on the ballot in November.
With gratitude,
