History will remember Donald Trump as the first U.S. president to be impeached twice. And it will now remember him for being the first president convicted of a felony―34 felonies in fact.

I am proud to have led the push to impeach Trump and hold him accountable since before I was elected to Congress. I ran for office in response to Trump’s attacks on marginalized communities―from his Muslim ban to putting immigrant children in cages to attacking trans people and working class people.

Unfortunately, with Trump now set to become the Republican Party presidential nominee for the third time, right-wing organizations have assembled a playbook that they call Project 2025, which would direct a second Trump authoritarian presidency to completely dismantle the federal government while threatening our rights.

Project 2025 seeks to purge the government of non-partisan experts, replacing them with radical ideologues loyal only to the MAGA movement who would demolish important checks on executive power.

It’s a forced-birth plan to ban contraceptives and outlaw abortion from the Heritage Foundation―the organization that led the fight to appoint Supreme Court Justices willing to overturn Roe.

It calls for separation of families, the end of birthright citizenship, and the creation of deportation camps to expel 7 million people in the first 4 years. The plan attacks education and any attempt to fight the climate crisis, while also defunding the FBI and refocusing the Justice Department on prosecuting Trump’s political enemies. The list of frightening policy plans goes on and on.

Powerful Wall Street banks are supporting this far-right nightmare Project 2025 through the Heritage Foundation. Contributions from Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase have directly supported the Heritage Foundation’s propagation of Project 2025.
