Jennifer Abruzzo, Larry Cohen, and more.

John,

Join the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) for a webinar on Tuesday, June 11, at 2 p.m. ET, to discuss recent developments at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB*) and their impacts on worker organizing.

*The NLRB is a powerful federal agency that protects workers' rights by overseeing and enforcing fair labor practices, ensuring worker voices are heard and workplace rights are upheld.

NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo will deliver opening remarks on the NLRB's significant reforms. A panel discussion on a recently released EPI report on “The Biden Board” will follow. Panelists include Larry Cohen, former president of the Communications Workers of America and JWJ co-founder. The report examines how the NLRB has supported workers’ rights to form unions and engage in collective bargaining under the Biden administration—a stark contrast to the anti-worker Trump administration.

In this moment, it is critical that we support institutions advocating for more worker power and protections. Corporations like Starbucks and Trader Joe’s, and billionaire CEOs like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are escalating their attacks on workers and institutions like the NLRB through their companies' legal teams. Most recently, they’ve argued that the NLRB can’t protect workers’ rights to organize because it is “unconstitutional”

We’ll see you Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET for EPI’s webinar, “Organizing, Collective Action, and the National Labor Relations Board”!

In Solidarity,
