Dear Friends,

As we mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, the Anne Frank Center USA is taking action to dispel myths by addressing the questions people ask when they are learning about the Holocaust.

“Why didn’t the Jews just leave Nazi Germany?”

The short answer is that many Jews did leave Nazi Germany.

The Anne Frank Center USA’s new workshops for adult audiences explore the story of the Frank siblings, Robert, Otto, Herbert, and Leni - all of whom left Nazi Germany by 1933. What can we learn from the stories of these four siblings?

In the first quarter of 2024, the Anne Frank Center USA introduced custom workshops that place the story of the Frank family in the contexts of the Holocaust and of the global Jewish experience of exile and forced migration. Participants see connections between History and the present day and are empowered to prevent antisemitism and bigotry.

Because antisemitism is linked to racism and other forms of bigotry, it is essential that we build understanding to empower individuals to stand up to hate.

Your donation makes it possible to deliver workshops to companies, universities, and teachers across the country, and to develop online courses that will be made available to audiences across the globe!

Every dollar donated directly supports our educational impact!
