Senate Republicans took yet another step to control women’s bodies and take away our right to choose yesterday by blocking the Right to Contraception Act — a bill I co-sponsored to protect access to contraceptives and the ability of health care providers to offer them.

The truth is, our Democratic Senate majority is the only thing standing in the way of Senate Republicans passing a national abortion ban, restricting the contraceptives we just sought to protect, and even going after IVF treatment.

That’s why Mitch McConnell handpicked a multimillionaire, Eric Hovde, to run against me and flip the one seat they need to take back the Senate.

My fight is not over, and I refuse to be discouraged by Republican obstruction — not with so much at stake.
