Last week, Donald Trump announced he raised almost $53 million in the twenty-four hours after his conviction.
Now, you might be wondering — what does that have to do with the Senate race in Michigan?
First, we've said it, but there is no more important state in the presidential race than Michigan. So you can bet that he will be spending a relatively large percentage of his total budget here.
But here's the interesting part:
While there are some voters who vote for both me and Trump, and we outperformed Joe Biden in my district during the 2020 presidential campaign, most Trump voters are also going to vote for Mike Rogers.
The better Trump does in Michigan, the better our opponent can do. Trump’s ability to blanket the state with TV and digital ads, as well as run a Get Out the Vote program, is also key to potentially running up the score for Mike Rogers — which could mean trouble.
That's what makes his $53 million raise such a significant threat. And why we need to be well-resourced enough to counter a significant uptick in Trump spending. So I am asking:

The outcome of this election is not something people who care can just sit back and witness. This is a moment we need to pull together if we're going to win.
