Dear John,

Our team is growing! We are excited to announce a new position at Breach: the Oregon Statewide Energy Transition Organizer. As we deepen and expand our work towards a just energy transition, the Statewide Organizer will support community coalitions and campaigns aimed at accelerating the transition off of fossil fuel use in buildings across Oregon.

Do you have experience with policy making at the local government level? Are you familiar with anti-oppressive organizing strategy? Have you been a part of fossil fuel resistance campaigning? Maybe you have a knack for working independently and love being a team-player, and your direct communications skills are off the charts. If you’re thinking, “Yes! That’s me!” head on over here and submit your application. We are accepting applications until Sunday, June 30.

The Statewide Organizer is a full-time, salaried ($66-$74k), exempt position and will be a member of Breach’s bargaining unit. Applicants need not live in Oregon to apply, but an out-of-state hire would be expected to move to Oregon within two months of accepting the position. Benefits include 100% employer-paid platinum health insurance coverage, including dental and vision, and generous vacation and reimbursement allowances.

At Breach we prioritize upholding a progressive workplace model that pushes back on harmful employment practices common in the nonprofit sector. Our team believes that working to dismantle systems of oppression is a consistent, lifelong commitment. While we are far from perfect, we strive to hold ourselves accountable to doing this important work. If this sounds like a good fit for you (or someone you know!) read the full position description and learn how to apply here.

We look forward to welcoming our newest comrade this summer!

Meg + the Breach Team
