Dear John,

All lasting social change starts at the grassroots level.

At Ipas, we’ve seen this to be true. Around the world, we’ve been part of grassroots movements for abortion access that—with years of hard work—have scored huge victories, like greater public support for reproductive rights and historic abortion law changes.

That’s why we partner with hundreds of local grassroots organizations in countries around the world. It’s a crucial part of how we fulfill our mission.

Some of our many grassroots partners receive grants from the Ipas Collaborative Fund. These grants trust the expertise of local organizations and provide flexible funding for what they determine their communities need to promote reproductive justice.

In Kenya, for example, a community-based group called Entashata has received two Ipas grants to help break down the stigma around family planning, combat gender-based violence, and provide sexuality education for youth. And in Nigeria, the local group Onelife Initiative used an Ipas grant to help Nigerian college students take control of their sexual and reproductive health with a campus-based education program.

We’re so impressed by our local partners—and we think you will be too. We invite you to read some of the beautiful feature stories on our website that showcase how Ipas Collaborative Fund grantees are making a real difference in their communities.

When one of our local partners succeeds, it's a victory for all of us. Together we're building the global movement for abortion access—one grassroots organization at a time.
