Friends --

Health care should be a priority for everyone -- not just one party. Republican or Democrat, every single father, mother, son, and daughter gets sick.

Right now, I know this message is likely being read by someone who’s on the frontlines of the healthcare system. It’s likely being read by someone who’s sick, or knows someone who is. My heart goes out to them, and for the rest of us, we need to do something.

In our history, we’ve changed minds, won over improbable allies, and accomplished great feats -- but it takes a movement. It takes millions of Americans making their voice heard, even in dark times.

And right now, a movement is just what we need: There’s a lawsuit making its way through the courts to end the Affordable Care Act -- we’ve mentioned it before. If it succeeds, millions of our fellow citizens could lose their health coverage.

That’s why I’m partnering with several of my colleagues to unite a coalition of Americans to work together and see an end to this lawsuit. While those trying to end the ACA can ignore one person -- even one congressperson -- they can’t ignore an energized group of concerned citizens who want one simple thing: affordable, accessible health care.

Thank you,
