Join us on Thursday for two virtual events — our weekly Senate Sessions update on Facebook and a Zoom town hall with a mental health expert in the evening.

Friends,

We wanted to let you know about two important (virtual!) events this week to help you and your family navigate the COVID-19 crisis.

Join us Thursday, April 16 at 11am for our weekly Senate Sessions on Facebook. It’s hard to interpret the new normal, and so many questions surround the issues we face. And every week, Ghazala is taking your questions and providing important resources.

Submit your questions for this week’s Senate Sessions here; and you can RSVP on Facebook here. This week, we are focused on education topics that impact both K-12 as well as higher education in Virginia.

Later that day, we’re hosting a town hall on Mental Health Strategies: Coping with COVID 19. Join Ghazlala and special guest speaker Erin Lessin Mahone, author of If You Could See Me, from 5 to 6pm, Thursday, April 16. They’ll discuss strategies for supporting children, loved ones, and ourselves during this period of crisis.

This conversation will be live on Zoom. RSVP here now and you will get an email reminder before the conversation.

We’ll continue to be in touch with more information and events like this.

Thank you,

- Team Ghazala
