Friend, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for my staff.

With their help, I just logged back into our fundraising account to take a look at how we’ve been doing. And WOW. Seeing the names of each and every person who’s given us their hard-earned support in the past few hours is amazing – even as families across the country face a tough moment.

It means a lot to watch each name pop up on my screen when a donation comes in. But as I’m refreshing the page and doing the math, I’m noticing we’re still just short of our $5,000 mid-month goal that we’re hoping to hit by midnight.

As a congresswoman, my schedule is pretty packed these days: I’m spending my time fighting to provide access to health care, paid sick leave and needed aid to workers affected by the coronavirus pandemic. So I don’t always get the chance to check in on the nuts and bolts of fundraising and of our campaign. But the 2020 election is right around the corner – and we’re relying on grassroots supporters like you, so I’m hoping we can do a bit more to get us over the edge tonight.

There are only a few hours left until midnight (and my bedtime), and I’d love to watch that number go up on my screen (and see your name come in, friend!) while I have the time to look!
