Today we’re exactly five months away from Election Day – which may seem like a lot of time, but here’s what that actually means for practical purposes:

In many states, early and mail-in voting begins ahead of Election Day. Here in California, ballots begin being mailed in early October.
- Voter outreach – educating, persuading, and turning out as many people as possible – has to start well before anyone actually receives a ballot.
- That means we’re up against some critical windows of opportunity, like…now!
So this five-month mark means it’s time to shift into high gear – with the stakes as high as they are in 2024, we don’t have a single second to waste.
My team is going to be doing a ton of fundraising work this month because the end of June is a major FEC filing deadline, and I’m hoping we can get ahead of that and get ourselves set up for success right now.
