Hello, I’m Howard Chou, former Vice Chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. But more importantly I’m a concerned citizen who is worried for the future of America just like you.

I’m reaching out to you because as I look for that future we can all thrive in, I only see one person that can lead us to a better tomorrow. One person that is selfless in his relentless pursuit to provide opportunity and equity for every American and committed to remove corruption from our government.

That person is my good friend, John Padora.

I believe in John because of his lived experiences and his ability to overcome personal hardships and suffering and then use that experience to fight for others. Before I tell you more, can he count on you to donate anything you can right here, right now?

Look, I know firsthand the importance of fighting to defend the freedoms that we enjoy every day. My family came to the United States through the sponsorship of my late grandmother, a refugee who was granted asylum in the US. My grandfather was a soldier for the nationalist army who died fighting against communism in China and my grandmother had to flee to Taiwan by boat. However, her boat was boarded and she jumped into the ocean to avoid capture and was luckily rescued by the US Navy and brought to the US. There she was detained until she was given refugee status and eventually became a citizen to sponsor us.

I know courage in the face of adversity when I see it and I know John possesses this quality.

John is dedicated to defending Women’s reproductive and abortion rights, protecting our environment, fighting for healthcare, expanding a national right to repair bill and providing equity for working families for all Coloradans.

He believes in pushing for a national bill like our own state’s Reproductive Health Equity Act to protect women’s rights. He knows that we must hold corporations accountable for our orphan wells problem and provide safe air and water for all our residents. John understands that healthcare should never be a luxury as his father was struck with Multiple Sclerosis. He recognizes how important it is to help our majority of independent farmers succeed for the benefit of us all.
