“We know for sure their bombs work.”

Folks,

In April, I was arrested alongside Dr. Jill Stein and dozens of students from Washington University in St. Louis.

The students had one clear demand for their university: Divest from Boeing, which manufactures bombs going to Israel just a few miles from campus.

Ten days ago, one of those bombs was dropped by Israel on refugees sleeping in tents in Rafah. Dozens died instantly. Hundreds of men, women, and children were burned alive.

But this wasn’t just any Boeing bomb. It was a “high precision munition designed to attack strategically important point targets.”

A graphic featuring an image of the tents burning in Rafah with a quote from the CNN article that reads: “The GBU-39, which is manufactured by Boeing, is a high-precision munition ‘designed to attack strategically important point targets,’ and result in low collateral damage, explosive weapons expert Chris Cobb-Smith told CNN.” The words “manufactured by Boeing” and “high-precision munition” are highlighted for extra emphasis.

Let’s call it what it is: Israel murdered people sleeping in tents using an extremely precise American bomb.

And they did it on purpose. They knew what they were aiming at, and they know what bombs do.

In a normal and healthy democracy this would be the end of a company like Boeing, already on the ropes for two massively deadly aviation disasters, dozens of serious safety incidents mid-air, and a growing list of whistleblowers coming forward.

But Boeing doesn’t give a shit. Their profits go up every time Congress authorizes another weapons shipment to Israel. The more Palestinians Israel murders, the better their bottom line.

Boeing puts those profits to use buying off any politician in a position to hold them accountable. And NO OTHER DEMOCRAT in the House takes more money from Boeing than Rick Larsen, who has been their faithful lapdog for years.

There is something deeply sick about continuously shoveling weapons to Israel to carry out a genocide while cashing checks from the people who make the bombs.

I’m a lifelong antiwar activist and I am staking everything I have left in me to STOP this genocide carried out with American bombs and American cash and American political capital.

We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity with Washington’s top-two primary system to defeat Larsen and elect the first Green Party member to Congress. Can you give $25 to stand against genocide today?

Not that they would, but if Boeing ever came knocking on my door with a check I would burn that check in front of them. As my friend Anthony Zenkus wrote on X/Twitter: “Take your chances on their planes but we know for sure their bombs work.”

If the only thing I achieve in Congress is making sure Israel never gets another dime until their apartheid regime is dismantled and Palestine is free, my work is done.

But I know that when we take our clear and forceful demands for peace and people-centered politics into Congress, we will unleash something bigger than any of us and turn the tide.

This seat is the best opportunity for Greens to get a seat in Congress. We have less than 2 months to the primary, so we need everyone to get on board and give what they can now.

In solidarity,

Jason
