John,
Senate Republicans just blocked legislation that would protect access to contraception nation-wide.
All but two Republicans voted against protections for birth control, proving that even our most basic reproductive rights are in danger, regardless of whatever lip service they repeat on the campaign trail.
This vote exposes how deeply out of step they are with Americans, who support access to contraception by an overwhelming 4 to 1 margin.
Even in a world without national protections for reproductive rights— we are not powerless in this moment. Our state and local elected officials remain on the frontlines of this fight, and they need our support now.
In every single state, voters support the right to make choices about our own bodies and families, but these freedoms are being restricted in statehouses and city halls across the country. We need to invest in these races and fight back where these attacks so often originate: in our communities. It’s time for all of us to get off the sidelines for ourselves, for our families, and for our futures.
Today, can you become a Vote Pro-Choice donor to help us fight back against these unprecedented attacks on birth control, IVF, and abortion?
Thank you for your support,
Sara Tabatabaie
