As DeSantis and his far-right lawmakers work constantly to upend education and to police school curricula, my organizing teams have been right there on the ground, fighting back in Florida.

But now, the stakes are even higher. DeSantis’ Florida Board of Education just approved new curriculum standards that rewrites African American history for the worst – teaching students that Black Americans benefited from slavery. Yes, they really approved that.

We need to ramp up our work immediately to bring more young Floridians into our movement against facism, and DeSantis’ outrageous agenda before it damages any more youth.
