Why are we allowing Big Government to go unchecked?
<[link removed]>
Friend – For too long, presidents have been given unlimited power in the name
of self-declared “emergencies.” They’ve been allowed to take immediate action
during a crisis situation without ever receiving any kind of congressional
review.
Once an emergency is declared, it rarely, if ever, is terminated.
Friend, this goes against everything our Founding Fathers wanted in our
Republic.
They wanted to ensure every branch of government had separate but equal
powers, which is why they established checks and balances.
CHIP IN TO RESTORE OUR REPUBLIC
<[link removed]>
I’ve introduced the REPUBLIC Act, which would restore us to those founding
principles. The president would have the power to declare an emergency, but
after 30 days, he or she would have to receive congressional approval for the
emergency declaration to continue.
My bill would require the president to receive congressional approval on
emergenciesevery 90 days and limit an emergency to five years.
It’s time to take back our country from radical tyranny and protect our
founding principles.
Agree? Chip in now to fuel my fight and push Congress to make the REPUBLIC Act
the law of the land.
