Election officials spend months preparing for an election — from ordering ballots to conducting voter education and outreach. Yet much of this work goes largely unnoticed or is misunderstood by the electorate. Election officials are our neighbors and friends who consistently dedicate long hours before, during and after Election Day to ensure our elections are safe, secure and accurate.

Despite the recent challenges faced by election workers, including increasing levels of threats and abuse, most states have delivered successful primaries with very few issues as they plan for another monumental election in November. The success of recent elections demonstrates these officials’ commitment to ensuring access to the ballot box for all voters. And their work has only just begun.

During this event, you’ll find out more about what election officials are focused on between now and when voting begins in their states for the general election. This insider perspective will showcase why their work is such an important part of ensuring our democracy functions the way it’s supposed to.
