Support Kai Kahele's campaign while he battles this pandemic | Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser [link removed]
Friends,
When New Politics endorsed combat veteran Kai Kahele in his campaign for Congress in Hawaii, our Founder Emily Cherniack said that he “embodies the service values we need in our politics.” Today, Kai announced he’ll be deploying with Hawaii’s Air National Guard in response to the state’s COVID-19 crisis — demonstrating those values in action once again and reminding us of how proud we are to support such an inspirational leader.
While Kai is working on the front lines to protect the health of his fellow Americans, he won’t be able to actively campaign for Congress. Join us in supporting Kai, a proven servant leader, by contributing to his campaign today.

Kai understands that to keep the American dream alive, leaders must commit to something greater than themselves — and he’s no stranger to doing just that. As a decorated 18-year veteran of the Air Force, Kai earned the rank of Lt. Col. while logging over 2,000 hours of flight time and commanding dozens of missions in the Middle East combat theatre.
As always, Kai has been leading by example throughout the pandemic. Several weeks ago, he isolated himself voluntarily as soon as he learned he might have been exposed to the virus. (Fortunately, his test came back negative.) Recently, his team launched virtual COVID-19 resource center where people in Hawaii can find information on the services, benefits, and resources available to them during this crisis. Kai has also been supporting nonprofit organizations working to assist the most vulnerable on Hawaii Island during this crisis. Now, on active duty, Kai will be working to improve care for others, but he won’t be able to personally engage in his campaign for Congress while activated with the National Guard. His campaign team will carry on with Kahele for Congress operations.
That’s why we’re asking you to join us and support Kai with a donation today. Kai is the latest in a movement of America’s next generation of servant leaders who are stepping away from their campaigns to battle this unprecedented public health crisis.
We recognize that this is a tough time for many families, so we’re only asking you to chip in if you can afford to do so. But we’re asking because we know that having leaders like Kai serving us in politics will revitalize our democracy.
Invest in Kai Kahele, a proven servant leader, by contributing $25 or whatever you can to his campaign today.
