John, it's Tim.
I just wanted to stop by with a quick election update:
The race is currently too close to call. 441 separate me and my opponent, but there are roughly 1,800 outstanding mail-in ballots that were opened early in Atlantic County.
The board of elections opened these ballots before May 6, long before they were allowed to be opened according to NJ law.
The Board of Elections voted on whether or not to count the votes and deadlocked 2-2 on party lines with Democrats voting in favor. This means that it is now Atlantic County Assignment Judge Michael Blee's decision. He is expected to break the tie on Friday, and until then, we're waiting.
Thank you for all your support for our campaign and your patience in this important time for our democracy.
