Last night Lauren Boebert joined 45 other Republicans in voting for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment to defund NATO.
This is an ignorant vote and frankly what we’ve come to expect from a congresswoman who has no idea what she’s doing or how her actions impact American national security.
There’s no way this amendment could pass, but the fact that these extremists in the GOP are trying is a HUGE gift to Vladimir Putin.
Russian propaganda has been hard at work sowing division among American lawmakers and voters to undercut our commitment to Ukraine’s national sovereignty. Boebert’s vote proves that she’s willing to be Putin’s useful idiot.
If Russia is allowed to succeed in Ukraine, it will not only be a travesty for the Ukrainian people and their fight for independence, it will push Russian forces directly into conflict with our NATO allies – risking a much larger war.
This is the kind of vote that could only come from someone who doesn’t give a damn about American troops or national security – which makes Boebert dangerous.
From her votes against veterans (over 15 times) to her jokes about climate security to playing a Russian stooge, Lauren Boebert is too dangerous to stay in Congress.
I am the only candidate in this race – Republican or Democrat – who is beating Boebert in the polls. In the last 2 months we’ve DOUBLED our lead over Boebert to 14 points, and I’m ready to take this fight all the way to November.
