We’re celebrating Pride Month, but it’s not just parades.

Pride Month is a time when we honor the fight . The fight for equal rights, for safety and security, the fight for acceptance not just from our peers but from our government.

Because let’s be honest – the GOP is STILL doing too much to make LGBTQIA+ folks second-class citizens. Just look at this list of things they proposed last year: *
Protection
by
the
government
for
discrimination
against
same-sex
couples
on
the
basis
of
religious
freedom.

Prohibit
appropriated
public
funds
from
being
used
for
implementing
anti-discrimination
and
equity
programs
including
closing
the
House
DEI
Office.
*
Prohibit
appropriated
funds
in
programs
like
Medicaid
from
being
used
for
gender-affirming
surgical
procedures
or
hormone
therapies.
*
Prohibit
displaying
pride
flags
at
U.S.
Embassies.
