John, Even though the stimulus has been passed into law, that help hasn't found its way to the people who need it because our systems are outdated, overwhelmed, and covered in red tape. Congress isn't even in session — they could change the rules so that representatives could vote remotely, but instead they've called it quits while the country suffers. While the state government is trying to put solutions in place to get people the money they need, our congressman is ‘writing letters’ and ‘releasing statements’ about the virus that are all talk and no action. Real leadership requires follow-through. Lindsey has a record of getting things done during a crisis, from helping to create jobs after the 2008 recession to leading disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico on behalf of New York after Hurricane Maria. That’s why we need Lindsey in Washington. So she can fight for what we need in the aftermath of this pandemic. If you have the means, please donate now, to help us get her there. While Lindsey has a record of creating jobs and leading disaster relief efforts, our congressman has only passed three pieces of his own legislation in almost 30 years. We need legislators that can be thoughtful about enacting solutions. It's bad enough that people are forced to jump through hoops to access public services under normal circumstances. Now, we're living in a whole new world. Band-aid solutions are no longer holding us together. We need transformative change to move forward — and Lindsey has the vision and the experience to get us there. Watch my video here making the case for action: Sincerely, Team Lindsey |
