Last month, the Plastics Industry Association requested that the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services endorse the idea that “single-use
plastic products are the most sanitary choice when it comes to many
applications,” amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This has not been proven. IN
FACT, STUDIES SHOW COVID-19 LIVES THE LONGEST ON PLASTIC, LONGER THAN ANY
SURFACE TYPE.
Despite this fear mongering, we stand firm that this is not a time to give
