Dear Friend,

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA), which provides crucial compensation for many of the people who were unknowingly exposed to radiation from US nuclear weapons tests and suffer certain radiation related illnesses is set to expire on 7 June 2024, unless the House of Representatives passes a bill to expand and extend it.

Today, we are amplifying the calls by our US partners <[link removed]> and many front-line communities <[link removed]> to please pick up the phone TODAY and call your Representative, regardless of their political party, to urge them to call for a vote and support extension and expansion.

Here’s how:

- Find your U.S. representative here <[link removed]>
- Dial the House of Representatives switchboard (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to the office of your U.S. Representative.
- Tell the representative's staff that you are a constituent, and convey the message: "Ask Speaker Johnson to call a vote NOW on S. 3853 to extend and expand the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act before it expires. And then vote yes! Please make sure this important program is not allowed to lapse, and that those who have been harmed can get the justice they deserve"

Or you can call Speaker Johnson directly and ask him, respectfully, to call the vote now.
