John,

During this incredibly stressful time, it is CRUCIAL that the public gets reliable information from our government.

No person has been more consistently trustworthy than Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 (that’s under 6 presidents -- 4 Republicans and 2 Democrats).

Dr. Fauci has worked hard to reach everyone through television appearances, press briefings, and even appearances on Barstool Sports’ Pardon my Take and an Instagram Live with Steph Curry -- his thoughtful facts and explanations about the response to the coronavirus pandemic have been a huge relief to so many.

But over the weekend, Trump recklessly retweeted a tweet saying “It’s time to #FireFauci.” At the height of the coronavirus crisis, that would be a catastrophe.

Congress, including Steve King, NEEDS to act to protect Dr. Fauci and make sure he keeps his role through the duration of this crisis. Add your name if you agree >>

Now is the time for Republicans and Democrats alike to stand up together. Too much is at stake.

We need public health officials to lead us through a public health emergency. We need pandemic experts to fight a pandemic. Dr. Fauci’s removal could worsen this crisis, and could create even more chaos as people are so desperate for relief. Regardless of political affiliation, leaders in Washington need to stand up for Dr. Fauci.

Join us in urging Congress to protect Dr. Fauci. This is critically important.

In times like these, we need to put politics aside and listen to the experts. Thank you for standing up for what’s right.
