Dear Friend, The United States sends hundreds of millions of dollars to the World Health Organization. We account for nearly a quarter of their entire yearly budget. But how they’ve handled this COVID-19 crisis raises serious questions and we have to hold them accountable. They gave us bad advice about shutting down travel to China, saying travel bans were "not needed." When President Trump shut down travel to China anyway, Joe Biden called it "xenophobic." The WHO took China’s word in January that downplayed the seriousness of the virus. They shared bad information from out of China that the virus couldn’t be transmitted human-to-human. It is clear and President Trump is right- the WHO has shown a bias towards China. Incredibly even after China was caught lying, the Director of the WHO continued to report positive information about China in March. Congress has already called on the Director to retract these misleading statements, but we need to investigate even further. Our tax dollars should not be used to fund Chinese propaganda and disinformation. The WHO should not be giving China a free pass after all they’ve done to put the world at risk. We will not let the WHO and China cover any of this up. It might not matter to Joe Biden and the Democrats, but we will get to the bottom of what has happened here. And we will make sure that the WHO stops this outrageous bias once and for all. Join our team and help us fight alongside President Trump as we fight back harder than ever to get the truth once and for all. Stay Well, Team Barr ‌ ‌ Andy Barr For Congress | P.O.
