BREAKING from NPR: Judge Blocks Rule That Would Have Kicked 700,000 People Off SNAP

URGENT: Democratic AGs got a HUGE WIN against Trump’s attack on food stamps, but it’s only temporary. To plan our strategy, we need to know where 134 more Democrats stand, and we’re missing your response. Tell us now:

Friends: A few months back, the Trump administration moved to cut SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits for more than 700,000 Americans.

Then, a coalition of Democratic AGs came together and SUED Trump to block his plan and protect vulnerable populations that rely on these benefits.

Now a federal judge has sided with Democratic AGs, and temporarily BLOCKED Trump from slashing food stamp benefits amid the coronavirus crisis. Now is the time we should be expanding benefits, not cutting people off.

While this was a big win, it’s only a temporary injunction and Trump could still get his way. That’s why we selected you to participate in our focus group of Democrats to help us plan our strategy for the fight ahead. We’re going to talk these results over tomorrow AM, and we’re still missing yours, so please weigh in by midnight tonight:
