John – Texas Republicans just adopted an even more extreme agenda at their convention, launching an assault on freedom of religion in schools, reproductive healthcare, and LGBTQ rights. Republicans are doing everything they can to seize power by hacking away at our voting rights. Texas is already the toughest state in the nation to vote – Republicans have racially gerrymandered the state, closed hundreds of polling places, and imposed the harshest voter ID law in the country. The Texas GOP’s policies are increasingly unpopular and they know it’s only a matter of time before Democrats are winning statewide. They are so afraid to lose that they are calling for sweeping changes to our election laws, where the majority vote would no longer matter. Loving County, with a population of 94, would have the same voting power as Harris County, with a population of over 4.8 million. We’ve got to stop the extremist, corrupt GOP before it’s too late.
