John, it’s Emma and Pavitra and we have a quick story for you today.

We were just talking with Lauren about how excited we are for summer on the campaign trail — and we can’t wait to see you out there!

In the meantime, we wanted to share something pretty important. When Lauren launched her campaign for reelection, she knew that once again, she would need the support of a strong grassroots team.

And just like the last three elections, she’s needed to rebuild Team Underwood from the ground up each time. Lauren does not take anyone’s support for granted and knows that she has to work hard to earn your vote and generous donations!

Along with a handful of dedicated members, new folks from across our district and nationwide have joined the team over the years, and for that we’re so grateful.

Now that we’ve reached the final month of this quarter, we’re setting our sights high. That’s because we have to show that our fundraising on track and our energy is growing.

But there’s an issue: The size of this team right now is vastly different than it was a year ago. That means the amount we’re able to raise from these emails has been impacted, too. This is where you come in, John.

The work that goes into building a winning team requires investment from Lauren into the IL-14 community and from grassroots supporters like you into her campaign.

To put us on track for a strong FEC report at the end of the month, we’ve set an ambitious goal of adding 500 individual donations through our emails in June.

Meeting this goal doesn’t just show the power of the team behind Lauren, it also determines what we can invest in this month. We have big organizing goals to turn out every voter we can across the district, and that takes substantial financial support.

We’ve built an incredible movement — so let’s unite and show how strong we are. Together, we can prove that this campaign isn’t slowing down — it’s gaining momentum at this critical time.
