Marjorie Taylor Greene and House Republicans spent our entire COVID-19 hearing attacking Dr. Fauci.

Here’s what I have to say about it:

I lost both my mother and stepdad to COVID-19, so this is personal.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s comments were shameful. Not only did she blatantly disrespect Dr. Fauci by refusing to address him by his title, referring to him as “Mr. Fauci” and stating, “cause you're not Doctor, you're Mr. Fauci," but she also called for his imprisonment. “That man does not deserve to have a license. As a matter of fact, it should be revoked and he belongs in prison.”

Let’s make one thing clear: Dr. Fauci is an American hero. He and his team have done more to save lives than all 435 members of the House on both sides of the aisle.

This type of rhetoric and the crazy COVID conspiracy theories that MTG and the GOP spread have had damaging effects on the lives of Dr. Fauci and his family. They have been subject to a large number of death threats.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has shown time and time again that she is unfit to be a member of the House or any governing body.

Instead of focusing on learning from COVID-19, she used her time to spew unproductive attacks. She does not care for public health and should be removed from the Oversight committee.
