Last week, our nation was unjustly plunged into uncharted waters as President Donald Trump became the first former President in U.S. history to be wrongly convicted of felony crimes — 34 sham counts in total. This marks a very dark moment — legally, politically, and historically — for our nation.

Make no mistake, this politically motivated show trial was rigged from the start.

President Trump faced a liberal Manhattan jury, a corrupt judge, and a radical, left-wing District Attorney. Both Judge Merchan and DA Alvin Bragg’s prosecution team had direct ties to President Biden. Specifically, Judge Merchan donated to Joe Biden and his daughter has used the lawfare against President Trump to raise millions of dollars for Democrats. Additionally, the lead prosecutor resigned from President Biden’s Department of Justice to join Alvin Bragg’s team.

Keep in mind, the prosecution’s star witness, Michael Cohen, is a disbarred attorney, serial liar, and convicted perjurer. In fact, Cohen confessed on the stand to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump Organization — a higher and more serious felony charge than the felony that Trump was charged with. Not to mention, the alleged “crime” that President Trump was charged with relies on the idea that he was attempting to conceal another crime — yet this crime was never identified in the indictment. 

Undoubtedly, this represents the biggest miscarriage of justice in American history.

The Left has shamelessly rigged and weaponized our justice system into the election interference arm of the Democrat Party because they’re terrified of facing President Trump at the ballot box in November. Joe Biden, Alvin Bragg, and Judge Merchan all want one thing: President Trump behind bars. By design, the process of the ongoing political prosecution plot is the ultimate punishment. After all, the more President Trump is forced to be off the campaign trail, the less he can use his time and resources to blast President Biden’s failed, harmful agenda. 

Just look at the deliberate timing of President Trump’s sentencing. Judge Merchan set sentencing for July 11th — just four days before the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Following sentencing, President Trump will vigorously challenge this sham case and bogus conviction on appeal. Yet the real verdict will come from the American people on November 5th.

Because we, the American people, decide our elections — not liberal, biased juries, not crooked judges, and not radical, left-wing DAs. 

This is why I’m still fighting to defund the Left’s lawfare. Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, and Jack Smith all receive federal funds — yet your hard-earned tax dollars have no place funding rigged kangaroo courts and nefarious election interference schemes. Please know that I firmly stand with President Trump, and I remain committed to defunding the Left’s unlawful, un-American efforts through the Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations process.

From fresh seasonal produce to premium cuts of beef, the abundance and quality of products from various local vendors showcased the dedication and skill of our farmers and ranchers here in North Georgia. During my remarks, I highlighted my work in Congress to cut burdensome regulations, foster fair competition, and support Georgia’s agriculture industry. As lawmakers craft the upcoming Farm Bill, I shared my commitment to fight to ensure this legislation empowers producers and invests in our nation’s farmers. Simply put, this critical bill shouldn’t be weaponized as a vehicle to boost welfare programs that create the trap of cyclical dependency.

• H.R. 8282, the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act: This legislation would impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) or any foreign actor who supports their effort to arrest, detain, or prosecute protected persons of the United States and its allies, including Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant.
• H.R. 8580, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2025: This spending bill provides FY25 appropriations for military construction, the VA, and related agencies that deliver for our veterans and servicemembers, bolster our national security, increase deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region, and cut radical woke initiatives.
