John,

Subsidizing dirty energy companies is reckless. But every year, billions of your tax dollars are given to the fossil fuel industry in direct federal subsidies.

To move off fossil fuels and towards a renewable energy future, we must first stop the federal bankroll for the oil and gas industry.

Tell Congress: My tax dollars SHOULD NOT be going into the pockets of fossil fuel executives. Cosponsor the End Polluter Welfare Act!

John,

Every year, billions of your tax dollars are given to the fossil fuel industry in direct federal subsidies including tax breaks, loans and loan guarantees, and other aid for dirty energy projects.

Subsidizing dirty energy companies is reckless. These corporate handouts drive an unprecedented expansion of U.S. fossil fuel development — and every dollar the federal government spends to support dirty energy is money diverted from vital programs that help communities.

But we can put an end to this. The End Polluter Welfare Act would eliminate dozens of tax loopholes and giveaways that benefit fossil fuel corporations.

Urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the End Polluter Welfare Act and cut off the flow of public dollars to corporate polluters.

We can’t continue to use the energy of the past if we want a clean energy future. And we can’t have a clean energy future without taking on the fossil fuel industry and halting the expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure. The End Polluter Welfare Act is vital to moving us off fossil fuels.

Food & Water Watch has been working for almost two decades to keep fossil fuels in the ground. And we’ve made great progress by banning fracking, stopping pipelines, and polluting power plants in communities nationwide.

We must continue pushing for bold action that rapidly expands renewable energy while moving us off fossil fuels. That starts with ending the federal bankroll for the oil and gas industry.

Tell Congress: Our money SHOULD NOT be going into the pockets of fossil fuel executives. Cosponsor the End Polluter Welfare Act!
