For decades, shady financial planners gave workers bad retirement advice in exchange for bribes from financial corporations. Incredibly, it was perfectly legal.

The Biden administration stood up to these financial predators and enacted a rule that outlawed financial advisers that put their own financial interests ahead of the people they were supposed to be advising. This rule protects seniors from shady financial predators―no wonder Republicans want to kill it.

There is momentum among Republicans to use the Congressional Review Act to overturn this rule, giving financial predators the opportunity to prey on working Americans once again.
