Happy Pride Month, John!

It is such a joy to spend June in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. We celebrate the activists and advocates who got us this far and honor how much further there is to go.

This year 20 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were introduced in the Georgia state legislature – bills that targeted transgender students and permitted LGBTQ discrimination. There is so much work to be done to rid our country of such hatred and ignorance.

However, thanks to Georgia LGBTQ+ rights organizers, every single bill failed to pass.

That’s the power of inclusivity. That’s the strength and resiliency we celebrate this Pride month.

Together, we will fight to protect the LGBTQ+ communities, and together we will win.

So with joy and resolve to never stop fighting, I wish you a wonderful Pride Month!
