John,As we approach the 2024 election in November, I want to share some critical insights about the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our election process.
AI, by itself, isn't a direct threat to our democracy. However, it is a powerful amplifier of existing threats. Those who wish to mislead voters can now use AI to create communications that seem precise and credible. This is a serious concern as election misinformation and disinformation can now be more easily amplified and spread.
We need to be proactive in countering these threats. With your support, we can ensure that every voter receives accurate and reliable information.
Our end-of-quarter deadline is this month and it’s one of our biggest of the election cycle. We need to raise another $5k this week to stay on track with our goal. Will you please chip in $5 or more to help us lead with the truth and safeguard our democracy? [[link removed]]

Imagine receiving a convincing email or seeing a deepfake video that spreads false information about our elections. AI technology can make this a reality, and our foreign adversaries are already exploring ways to use AI to attack our democracy.
For example, in February, during the NH Primary, we witnessed the impact of AI-driven misinformation in the form of a fake “robo-call” from President Biden. We must act now to prevent similar incidents in the 2024 election.
I’m committed to leading with the truth, working with local and federal partners to monitor inaccuracies, and emphasizing media literacy. But we need your help to continue this critical work. Will you contribute $5 or more today? [[link removed]]
